It's Been A While...
I'm still here, I swear. I haven't been working on much art lately. And what I have done in the past 7 or so months, I haven't taken any pictures of, or scanned. Yet.
So, stay tuned. I'll update eventually. :)

Updated Image Of The World Turtle Painting

Ok, so I'm not so good yet at piecing together different scans, but I used so much gloss medium that every photo was coming out white and shiny. I feel like I'm getting close to finishing it. I don't know when, but I swear I'm nearly there.

Face Studies Done In The Past Week
Our Scotish friend Jamie is interested in me painting a Pict woman warior in some sort of fight or pre-fight scene. I drew a vague outline that he likes, but it has been such a long time since I did any drawing that I felt I needed to do some sketches first. None of these is the final face, I'm just practicing. Some of these are from DVD covers, but most are from an awesome book Peter recently bought: Facial Expressions; A Visual Reference For Artists, by: Mark Simon. I also need to say that though I usually use a very large amount of water when I'm painting with my acrylics, I never paint with watercolor. But, for no real reason, I decided to use watercolor with these, so, I know they're different from my usual style and competency level. Even so, I don't think they turned out too bad.

Nearly Christmas

I really haven't worked on art much the past 2 months. Mid October I started a new and wonderful job. All of November I was busy with work or writing my novel for NaNoWriMo. Once I was (sadly...) unemployed again, I started working on the shadowbox for my sister. It's not done yet, and that rope in the middle will look different, but I figured, it's art, I should put it on here. I hope to finish it before this weekend. Otherwise, I also put together and decorated the Christmas tree. It's not really art, but it's pretty and it's something else I worked on. ;P
Merry Christmas!

Pop!

My first attempt at creating Pop Art with Photoshop. Didn't leave myself enough room for a thought balloon though. Next time!

Good Morning

Been too busy to get these posted any sooner. These were taken from the back balcony of our appartment early on my birthday (June 21st). I brightened the last one in Photoshop, but the others are as I took them with the camera.
